Executive Transitions Management Consultant Training Opportunity

The Annie E. Casey Foundation
The Annie E. Casey Foundation has committed resources to promoting awareness of executive leadership transitions as capacity building opportunities for nonprofit organizations. To forward this work, the Casey Foundation is partnering with TransitionGuides, an east coast collaborative of executive transition consultants, and the Executive Transitions program of CompassPoint Nonprofit Services.
To expand the number of providers of executive transition management (ETM) services across the United States, the Casey Foundation is partially supporting a workshop for experienced nonprofit consultants interested in taking their practice into the arena of ETM.
The curriculum is grounded in the many years of experience in leadership transitions garnered by the consultants of CompassPoint and TransitionGuides.
Topics covered in the three-day workshop will include:
- Theoretical underpinnings for transition management
- Setting up successful contracts
- Attending to the specific needs of all parties to a transition
- Conducting an organizational assessment
- Recruiting, screening and hiring techniques
- Supporting the newly hired ED.
Participants will be provided a comprehensive ETM Consultant Toolkit covering all consulting phases.
Applications will be screened and participation offered to 18 consultants. The registration fee for the training is $750, which includes materials and breakfasts and lunches. Information on the training site and hotels will be provided to registrants.
