Meet The Cartoonist

As a child Miriam Engelberg dreamed of becoming an electrical engineer, but pressure from her parents and concerned teachers pushed her into the more lucrative field of fine art. She studied at the Academie des Cartoons in Paris, Texas before embarking on a career in corporate cartooning. Though dedicated to the corporate mission, Miriam could not resist the seductive lure of the nonprofit world; she joined the CompassPoint cartooning department and never looked back. She is currently in negotiation with Disney regarding production of an animated musical about the nonprofit sector tentatively entitled "Beauty and the Grant Proposal."
