CONFERENCE REGISTRATION

Please read the following registration, cancellation, and travel stipend policies before you register for the conference.

REGISTRATION POLICY

The 2011 TCWF Conference on Violence Prevention has reached maximum capacity.  We are unable to confirm additional registrations for the event at this time.

If you are interested in attending the conference and wish to be added to the conference waiting list, kindly e-mail your name, company/affiliation, and a contact phone number to the CompassPoint conference planners events@compasspoint.org.  

As cancellations are received, and space becomes available at the conference, we will contact and confirm guests on the waiting list.  We will make every effort to include as many waiting list attendees as physically possible.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• If after registering you find that you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact the CompassPoint conference planners as soon as possible, but at least one week prior to the event. As space is limited, this will allow other guests to attend in your place.
• Every year, thousands of dollars are wasted on no-shows and last-minute cancellations. Please help us ensure that grant dollars are put to good use at this event. Thank you!

TRAVEL STIPEND POLICY

• A limited number of stipends are available to help cover the cost of travel and accommodations for those outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. The application deadline is Friday, September 16, 2011.
• Stipends are available for travel and accommodation expenses only. Meals, per diems, and other costs may not be expensed.
• TCWF will cover costs only for coach-class tickets. For the best available fare, we recommend purchasing a nonrefundable ticket at least 30 days prior to your departure date.
• We strongly encourage carpooling to reduce transportation costs and the impact on the environment. If carpooling, only the driver should apply for a travel stipend (passengers may apply for hotel stipends, as needed).
• If you are sharing a room with another conference attendee, only one attendee should request a hotel room (the other attendee may apply for a travel stipend).
• Travel stipends will be awarded on a reimbursement basis. Receipts for all expenses are required for reimbursement.
• Stipend awards are not transferable. Only the person awarded a stipend may request reimbursement.
• Notification of travel stipend awards and detailed instructions will be sent by September 30, 2011.
