How do leaders make effective strategic decisions in "real-time?” What organizational practices lend themselves to strong execution of new strategies? Jeanne Bell will present and lead an interactive discussion to help you identify the most pressing strategic decisions that need to be made at your organization and your next steps to making them.

How does board performance directly impact organizational performance, or does it? As East Bay nonprofits focus on deepening their mission impact in a sustainable way, what role can and should boards of directors play? And, what qualities of staff-board partnership increase the engagement and efficacy of board members in responding to the big issues nonprofits face in today’s climate? Bill Ryan, co-author of "Governance as Leadership: Reframing the Work of Nonprofit Boards," will tackle these challenging questions and lead an interactive discussion to help staff and board leaders evaluate their partnership and link it directly to organizational performance.
