No doubt\, those ideas have been deeply sh aped by power dynamics and wider cultural narrativ es we&rsquo\;re all swimming in. \;\n \n Super vision is both a structure and a relational practi ce that keeps us accountable to others and helps u s grow. Many of us have been conditioned to think that supervision means having power over others in stead of building power with others--but when we s upervise in a way that breaks with narratives from the dominant white supremacist culture\, we open the door to mutual flourishing.\n \n Who is this t raining for?\n \n As leaders in nonprofit organiza tions\, we&rsquo\;re often tasked with supervising others\, but rarely given time and space to explo re how we want to show up in these relationships a nd what we should really focus on. This training i s most relevant for leaders in nonprofits and soci al justice movement spaces who are responsible for supervising others. Leaders who are new superviso rs (in particular) will find this training useful- -although we also invite folks who want to deepen their understanding\, or even reimagine their appr oach to supervision as well.\n \n  \;\n \n In this online workshop\, you will:\n \n \n Recogniz e how liberatory and transformational commitments and practices can be an antidote to white supremac y\, patriarchy\, and capitalism within supervision \n Identify how the four types of power intersect with supervision\n Gain skills (setting expectat ions and sharing feedback) to incorporate into you r supervision practices\n \n \n Explore CompassPoi nt blogs related to this training:\n \n \n Superv ising in a Crisis: Slowing Down and Focusing on Re lationships by Hana Lee\n Grappling with Feedb ack: Lessons in Trying\, Failing\, and Trying Agai n by Learkana Chong\n \n \n Get ready to participa te!\n \n \n Our trainings come alive with your par ticipation and willingness to engage.
