At worst\, it&rsquo\; s seen as &ldquo\;administrative work&rdquo\; that lives in a silo\, separate from the values we str ive for in our missions.\n \n In reality\, financi al knowledge and practices aren&rsquo\;t just tech nical&mdash\;they can be transformational and buil d power\, too. But in order to shift our systems a nd approaches to money to better reflect social ju stice values\, we need to grow access and understa nding about finance across our teams.\n \n This th ree-session training is an opportunity to understa nd core language and skills about nonprofit financ e in an expressly political context where we criti cally examine how capitalism\, patriarchy\, and wh ite supremacy shape nonprofit financial reporting and systems.\n \n We all have something valuable t o learn and something useful to contribute to the way we think about resourcing our work\, and growi ng our knowledge and skills around finance is a wa y to build power within our organizations and in o ur communities.\n \n  \;\n \n Who is this trai ning for?\n \n \n People working in nonprofits who are new to financial knowledge\, who want to grow their general understanding and skills about nonp rofit finance including (but not limited to!) peop le newly holding nonprofit finance roles\, program managers\, executive directors\, and board member s. This also includes people who are stepping into new roles\, or who may not have a formal position related to managing money. \;\n \n  \;\n \n We invite anyone working in the nonprofit and s ocial justice space who wants to demystify foundat ional financial language\, concepts\, and document s to join us. We especially want to invite folks w ho are eager to learn these ideas and skills in a political context.
