The Nonprofit Organizational Dashboard: Library of Sample Performance Indictors
As organizations strive to allocate and monitor resources in order to increase effectiveness and impact, many are turning to the use of dashboards and performance metrics as an inexpensive and simple way to facilitate meaningful decision making and track progress towards organizational goals. Often the most challenging aspects of developing a dashboard is in choosing a set of performance indicators that is relevant for your organization. Through our dashboard work with community-based organizations, CompassPoint is collecting sample indicators and have compiled them into this library. While this list is not comprehensive, nor is each indicator right for all organizations, we share it with you to provide useful examples of what other organizations are using. As we will continually add to this list, we also invite you to send us your indicators to include in our growing library.
