Centering People During Organizational Change and Transition
This training was formerly known as Change, Transition, and the Practice of Adaptive Leadership. We've updated the title to better reflect the content.
This is an online event. We will send login information two days before the event, so please make sure you enter your email correctly.
Registration for this event is offered on a sliding scale. If your personal or organizational budget allows you to, please consider paying the full fee so we can keep registration accessible for leaders and organizations who may not be in the same position. Greater access strengthens us all!
In a time of significant change in our world and our organizations, what is often ignored or downplayed is how to lead people through transition. Getting people through transition is essential if the change we’re aiming toward is actually going to take root.
When you are leading a team or an organization through a difficult change – when leadership is especially important – you will inevitably challenge what people hold dear – their daily habits, their loyalties, and their ways of thinking.
This interactive session will examine the intersection of change, transition, and leadership and offer strategies and tools for managing and leading through challenging, transformative moments.
In this online workshop, you will:
Understand the distinction between change and transition
Explore a Margin to Center framework
Learn to distinguish between adaptive challenges and technical fixes
- Organizational Transformation Without Equity and Allyship Is Meaningless by Lupe Poblano
- Exploring Influence without Authority by Kad Smith
