Q: How do I determine which price level to select when registering for a workshop with multiple fee options?
A: Registration for our programming is offered on a sliding scale depending on your individual and organizational access to financial resources. Our sliding scale is an intentional effort to distribute resources equitably between organizations and individuals we work with. If your personal or organizational budget allows, please pay the Sustain or Redistribution cost so we can keep registration accessible for leaders and organizations who may not be in the same position. Greater access strengthens us all!
Individuals who are paying from personal funds (rather than organizational resources) are encouraged to register at the highest fee level they can afford without creating financial hardship.
Solidarity:
This is a discounted (below cost) price we offer to make our programs more accessible to folks with fewer personal and/or organizational financial resources. This price level is intended for folks paying with financial support from an organization with a budget of less than $1M, fewer than 10 paid staff and/or no dedicated funds for staff development.
Sustain:
This price allows us to sustain our work. This price level is intended for folks paying with financial support from an organization with a budget between $1 million and $5 million, fewer than 50 paid staff, and/or some dedicated funds for staff development.
Redistribution:
This price covers the cost of your registration and also makes it possible for us to offer access for folks with fewer financial resources. This price level is intended for folks paying with financial support from a foundation or an organization with a budget greater than $5 million, 50 or more paid staff, and/or consistently budgeted resources for staff development.
Q: How do I find workshop descriptions?
A: From the Current Offerings page, click the "learn more and register" button and you will be taken to the full offering description page.

Q: What does it mean to be waitlisted?
A: If you would like to register for an offering but it’s already full, you can sign up to be added to the waitlist! Once a spot becomes available, the first person on the waitlist will be contacted via email to register for the offering. If the first person does not register within 2 business days, the next person on the waitlist will be contacted, and so on.
Because of high demand, it’s very unlikely that we can accommodate every waitlisted person for any given workshop. We offer spots to waitlisted participants in the order they were placed on the waitlist. In order to be fair to other waitlisted participants, we cannot move you up the list or accommodate you if you show up to our training space on the day of the workshop—even if there are last minute cancellations. If you have been waitlisted and want to know what number you are on the list, please email workshops@compasspoint.org.
Q: What does it mean when the workshop registration is closed?
A: This means that the offering is full and the waitlist is full as well. Please consider signing up for the next available date.

While we no longer have a physical office, we remain committed to in-person learning and staying rooted in the Bay Area. Questions? Email info@compasspoint.org

Q: Do you provide certificates of completion? I need one in order to get reimbursed by my organization.
A: Yes, we can upon request! Please email workshops@compasspoint.org within one month of the workshop end date to receive a certificate of completion. Please be advised, these certificates indicate your completion of a training, and are not the same as formal certification in a skill or subject area.
